Cancellation policy
More than 8 weeks before the course: full refund, minus a $50 administrative fee (+ tax).
Between 4 and 8 weeks before the course: 50% refund, OR a full credit applicable to the same course at a later date.
Less than 4 weeks before the course: no refund, but an automatic credit is issued for the same course at a future date.
Less than 48 hours before the course: no changes or credits possible.
For any cancellation or transfer request, write to ecgu.ca@gmail.com with your name and the course concerned.
Privacy policy
ECGU takes the protection of your personal information seriously. This policy describes what data we collect, why, where it is stored, and your rights under Quebec’s Law 25 (Act to modernize legislative provisions as regards the protection of personal information).

Information collected
When you register for a course, we collect only the necessary information: full name, email address, profession (physician, resident or other health professional) and, where applicable, your license number (CMQ) required to issue continuing education credit certificates. No data is collected without your knowledge, and the site uses no advertising tracking cookies.
Purposes
Your information is used exclusively to: manage your registration and its payment; send you communications related to your course (workbook, Zoom link, reminders, evaluation, post-tests); issue your credit certificates; and, with your consent, inform you about ECGU activities (new dates, promotions).
Consent to communications
By registering for a course, you consent to being contacted by ECGU for the purposes described above. You may withdraw this consent at any time, including after your training, by writing to ecgu.ca@gmail.com. Communications strictly necessary to a course you are registered in (confirmation, connection link, documents) continue until the end of its cycle.
Hosting and data retention
Your information is stored in a database hosted in Canada (Montreal region, Supabase infrastructure on AWS ca-central-1), encrypted and with restricted access. The site itself is served by Vercel, with server processing in the Montreal region.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified provider. No banking card data passes through or is stored on ecgu.ca.
Disclosure to third parties
Your information is neither sold nor rented. It is shared only with the technical providers needed to operate the service: Vercel (site), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Google (the Gmail mailbox ecgu.ca@gmail.com, which receives your messages) and, during the transition, GitHub (encrypted backup copy). Stripe and Google process this information outside Quebec, notably in the United States.
Your rights
You may at any time request access to your personal information, its rectification or deletion (subject to retention obligations related to certificates), or withdraw your consent to communications. Send your request to ecgu.ca@gmail.com; we will respond diligently. In the event of a confidentiality incident presenting a risk of serious harm, the persons concerned and the Commission d’accès à l’information will be notified as required by law.
